What is Composite Fencing?
By ProMatcher Staff
Composite Fencing 101
Composite fencing is made to replicate the look of a traditional wood fence. It is an engineered wood product that’s made with recycled wood fibers, plastics, and binding agents. It is durable, low maintenance, and easy to install. It is not vulnerable to water damage and weathering like natural wood, but it does typically come at a steeper cost.
How is it installed?
Composite fencing is generally installed with a wood or steel frame in order to support the extra weight. It is assembled with fasteners, and it does not interlock like some vinyl fencing. Additionally, the installation does not require any special tools or equipment.
Manufacturers
Many of the companies that manufacture composite fencing also make a similar product that is used to build composite decks. Here is a list of the top manufacturers:
1. Fiberon
2. TimberTech
3. Trex
4. Simtek
5. Keter
6. Veranda
